MLS Laser

The Multiwave Locked System (MLS) Laser produces an efficient and instant effect on pain, inflammation, and oedema. MLS Laser Therapy delivers controlled laser energy that provides more accurate therapeutic dose delivery, producing consistent and repeatable results.

What is MLS Laser Therapy?

MLS stands for Multi-Wave Locked System. The MLS Laser Therapy treats inflammation, pain, arthritis, and other pet health issues.

  • The MLS Laser is a Class IV technology that uses multiple synchronised diodes.
  • It features two wavelengths: 808 nanometers and 905 nanometers. The 808 wavelength is for inflammation and is long-lasting. The 905 wavelength is analgesic and is fast-acting. Together, they are very effective.
  • The MLS waveform is patented.
  • The MLS laser penetrates 3-5 cm deep and generates no heat. There are no known harmful effects.

These wavelengths produce greater anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects that create an energetic synergy.

How does it work?

  • Laser energy stimulates body cells to remove toxins, like histamine and cytokine.
  • They allow oxygen and food to accumulate inside the cell.
  • By blocking the pain signals to the nociceptors in the brain, they help release encephalin as well as endorphins.
  • Laser light increases the rate of cell growth and ATP production. It brings blood flow to the area of pain and increases the angiogenesis of capillaries.
  • MLS Laser Therapy can accelerate the healing time by 30 to 40%.
  • In fracture cases, it will increase osteoblast production within one and a half weeks.

In a nutshell, the MLS Laser treatment stimulates the function of mitochondria in cells to jump-start the body’s healing process.

Acute patients may feel relief before leaving the office; the maximum benefit will be experienced within 5 to 7 hours post-treatment.

For chronic patients, it is essential to inform the pet owner that it may take up to 4 treatments before the proper recovery of their pet.

Laser has the following effects:

  • Increases the temperature of the tissue, increases vascular supply and has a soothing effect
  • Provides energy for the body cells, allowing them to repair themselves
  • Blocks the transmission of pain signals from the tissue to the CNS.
There are, therefore, MANY BENEFITS of laser therapy:
